Lloyd Price first came to fame with R&B chart-topper Lawdy Miss Clawdy on Specialty in 1952, this song becoming a classic of the rock'n'roll era and featuring in the stage shows of Elvis Presley and the Beatles, and his ABC version of his hit is included here. Lloyd continued to record on various labels into the soul era, while also building a business empire which sells a variety of food, clothing and music products.
