Barbara and the band subsequently recorded the first of three albums together in 2001. Shout Records is pleased to present a choice collection of excellent blues-soul performances, taken from those three albums, plus further tracks from other own label albums, to a wider audience, perhaps hearing the power, subtlety and soul of Barbara Blue for the first time.

This release comprises mainly original material, but also maintains the style and tradition of R&B standards, featuring some fine musicianship, with great solos on tenor-sax, harp and piano adding some dynamic performances. Barbara was once invited to perform at a Janis Joplin memorial celebration, and the parallels drawn in vocal power and performance, particularly on the ballads, are entirely warranted.

Early promo copies of 'By Popular Demand!' have already been serviced to radio and the track 'Trouble With A Capital T' is already receiving national radio spot plays.
