There can't be many soft pop groups who link Elvis Presley, Quincy Jones, The Jackson Five, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Bobby Sherman, The Monkees, The Brady Kids, Jim Webb, the Union Gap and the Partridge Family.......in fact the only one I can think of is Tom and John Bahler's THE LOVE GENERATION. From their beginning as singers and dancers on some of America's top TV shows, they went on to record some of the most luscious and adventurous soft pop extravaganzas ever, racking up a number of hits, crowned by their ambitious 1968 hit rendition of Jimmy Webb's "Montage From How Sweet It Is" (I Knew That You Knew).

A move into advertising and TV vocal session work, including the legendary "Elvis '68 TV Special" brought them into contact with Screen Gems/Monkees session contractors Ron Hicklin and Shorty Rogers, who put them forward to provide the musical content for a new series: The Partridge Family.

Their spirited rendition of "Let the Good Times In"from their own "Montage" album in the pilot sold the music aspect of the show to the Networks.....and the Love Generation were launched as the songwriters, arrangers and instrumental/vocal group who were effectively the Partridge Family....with the addition of the show's stars David Cassidy and Shirley Jones, of course!

Tom and John's skills as vocal arrangers have remained as in demand as ever... this first ever collection of the Love Generation's most innovative work features tracks from their three albums, including their first hit single "Groovy Summertime", "Montage From How Sweet It Is" and their original version of "Let the Good Times In", the song that started the Partridge Family phenomenon.
