The highly successful tribute series powers on, paying homage to one of the seminal eighties bands, The Cult. Formerly known as The Southern Death Cult, the band were formed by lead singer Ian Astbury in Bradford 1981. With the line-up eventually stabilised by Jamie Stewart (bass), Les Warner (drums) and ex-Theatre Of Hate guitarist Billy Duffy, they were born out of the new wave/punk movement, and initially adopted a gothic-like image. The songs drew inspiration from Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Bad Company, oozing energy and pure rock 'n' roll from every note! This release features new versions of the many of the bands worldwide hits. The booklet contains extensive biographies of all of the contributing acts and sleeve notes from Jason McMaster of Dangerous Toys, recollecting his time spent supporting The Cult on tour.
