The last truly great undiscovered vocal group of the sixties...Mamas & Papas, Free Design, the Association, Harper’s Bizarre. Pominent in the first generation of the bossa nova movement; made seminal album “Os Afros Sambas” with Vinicius and Baden Powell. Worked with Joao Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Marcos Valle. Centrepiece of this set is the 1965 album they recorded with the male Brazilian vocal group Tama Trio under the auspices of arranger Luiz Eca. It is simply a masterpiece.
