The Very Best Of Vice Squad cdpunk116 'The Very Best Of.' is a career spanning compilation that does exactly what it says on the tin - packing in the hits from one of the most commercially successful punk bands in the UK, the formidable Vice Squad!Vice Squad came together in Bristol in 1979. The band comprised Beki Bondage on vocals, Dave Bateman on guitar, Mark Hambly on bass and Shane Baldwin on drums. Beki was perhaps the most popular Punk pin-up of her time and quickly became Punk's leading sex symbol. Unable to secure a record deal during their early months of gigging, the band ended up forming their own Riot City label, through which they released their first single, 'Last Rockers', in December 1980. This was followed by the 'Resurrection' EP, after which both the band and their label were signed by EMI. The album 'No Cause For Concern' was subsequently released, selling well and reaching 32 on the UK album charts. Seven months later, a second album, 'Stand Strong, Stand Proud' was in the shops and also entered the UK album chart. Included are the classic singles "Out Of Reach", "You'll Never Know", "Teenage Rampage" and "Black Sheep" - covering the bands entire output, as well as featuring efforts from both the Becki Bondage and Lia eras.
