Wearside cdpunk140 Anagram Records, the home of Punk and Psychobilly, are proud to present the latest addition to their Punk Collector's series, Red Alert's 1999 album "Wearside". Formed in Sunderland in 1979, on the advice of Gary Bushell the band sent their first EP and 2 demos to No Future Records and within a week had signed their first recording contract.The original line-up released four albums before splitting in 1985. However, the band reformed in 1990 and have now been touring the world playing to packed houses for over 15 years, whilst receiving a host of critically acclaimed albums. An audio document of Red Alert at the raucous best, this album has long been unavailable and is re-released on the Punk Collectors Series for the first time.
